Birch Run Speedway to Focus on Local Stars in 2025
After celebrating the 2024 season on November 23rd, Birch Run Speedway management is pleased to present the tentative 2025 schedule. Starting the third season under the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series banner, the track will utilize the 2025 season to spotlight its weekly drivers and classes.
Two tidbits of information need to be shared before discussing the 2025 schedule. First is that the rules for all classes will mirror Owosso and Whitemore Speedways. The one change from the 2024 season and years prior will be that the Front Wheel Drive class will mirror Whittemore Speedways rules.
Secondly, Chuck Darling, the co-announcer at Birch Run Speedway, will be adding to his duties at the Speedway. The Saginaw resident will assist with marketing, promotions, and advertising in the new year. He, along with track management will be working with current and past marketing partners, as well as seeking out new businesses that would be interested in signage, billboards, or class sponsorship. Two pre-season registration sessions will be held at the track’s clubhouse on April 12th and 19th. NASCAR officials and track management will be on hand to assist drivers in filling out paperwork in preparation for the season. Drivers who plan on racing at the Speedway even once in 2025 are highly encouraged to attend and get signed up.
The rules for all classes will mirror Owosso and Whitemore Speedways. The one change from the 2024 season and years prior will be that the Front Wheel Drive class will mirror Whittemore Speedways rules.
The racing season kicks off on May 2nd when the Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Trucks, and Front Wheel Drive classes take to the historic four-tenths and third-mile ovals. The chaos and carnage of the Eve of Destruction will take over on May 9th with regular racing resuming the next week before a break for Memorial Day weekend on the 23rd.
The month of May ends on the 30th with Limited Late Models and Street Stocks making their debut in 2025 for their first of six events on the D-shaped oval. The Pure Stocks and Truck class will join them on this night.
NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing continues throughout June before the track takes a break on the 4th of July, Racing action resumes the following next two weeks, followed by the second Eve of Destruction event on July 25th.
A regular race night on August 1st followed by an Eve of Destruction on the 8th will be the precursor events before the Champions will be crowned the following two weeks. The Limited Late Model and Street Stock Championships will be decided first on August 15th while the Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Trucks, and Front Wheel Drive top point earners will be decided on August 22nd.
The competitors in the Eve of Destruction events will close out the racing action at Birch Run with an event on August 29th and on September 19th.
