Rain wins again! Double features and autograph night set for July 11th at Birch Run Speedway
Mother Nature has not been playing nice with the Birch Run Speedway and Event Center so far in 2025. The four-tenths-mile and third-mile asphalt ovals have seen action three times, with regular acing action and one night of the Monster X Metals and Gold Eve of Destruction.
Director of Race Operations, Matt Prieur, announced via Facebook that, due to the number of rainouts, track officials and management have decided to make the next two events double features for all classes.
With the track being dormant for the 4th of July, the next event will happen on July 11th and feature the return of the Modifieds alongside the Finish Line Seamless Gutters Pure Stocks, Backroad Beaute' Salon American Trucks, and the Front Wheel Drive Compacts for double features and autograph night part one. Heat races will not be run in this features-only night of racing.
It will also be the first chance for fans to get face-to-face with the NASCAR Regional Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series drivers and their cars and trucks. Spectators will have the opportunity to go on the track and mingle with the local heroes and get autographs, pictures, candy, and more during the time allotted.
On Saturday, July 12th, the UAW Region 1-D American Muscle Cruise Motorcycle & Auto Show Presented by GM Flint Assembly takes center stage starting at 2. The event serves as a fundraiser for Michigan's United Way ramp programs. The show will feature live music from Leah Williams and Slick Jimmy, as well as a cornhole tournament, vendors, 50/50 raffles and giveaways. Spectator admission is just five dollars, and more details on the event can be found at www.birchruncarshow.com
